Interested in cultivating your speculative imagination, distinctive design skills, and idiosyncratic critical thinking? We offer a range of courses to enable you identify innovative opportunities, liberate creative potential, and build sustainable motivation and confidence. Courses are led by CJ Lim, CJ Lim-taught alumni and prominent design educators. In-person courses take place at St Mary’s Studio in West Hampstead, London. Interested in reading about the weird, wicked, and wonderful imagination of CJ Lim? There are 12 authored and 4 edited books including his award-winning bestsellers ‘Smartcities, Resilient Landscapes + Eco-warriors’ (2019), ‘Food City’ (2014), ‘Inhabitable Infrastructures: Science fiction or urban future?’ (2017), ‘Short Stories – London in two-and-a-half dimensions’ (2011), and ‘Smartcities + Eco-warriors’ (2010). His latest authored books, ‘Once Upon a China’ (2021) and ‘Dreams + Disillusions’ (2024), continue his interests in narratives, idiosyncratic speculations and the creative magic of imagination.
Interested in buying a curious, immersive, and thought-provoking drawing by CJ Lim? His works are held in private and permanent collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum London, and Fonds Regional d’Art Contemporain du Centre (FRAC) Orleans; and have been exhibited internationally in Melbourne, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Montreal, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Lisbon, Rome, Istanbul, Beijing, Shenzhen, Tokyo, and at the Venice Architecture Biennale. A regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy of Arts London Summer Exhibition, he is a recipient of their prestigious ‘Grand Architecture Prize’.
